HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. — A deadly crash involving a pedestrian has shut down a portion of Big Bend Road in Hillsborough County, the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office said.

The crash happened before 5:30 a.m. in the area of Big Bend Road and U.S. 301 in the Riverview area. Details are limited, but the sheriff's office confirmed the pedestrian was killed in the crash, resulting in westbound Big Bend being shut down.
