Novi’s Pace Industries Expands Southwest with Acquisition in Tennessee

Pace Industries, a leading custom die casting, engineering, and manufacturing provider based in Novi, today announced it closed on the acquisition of Jackson Die Cast (JDC), an aluminum high-pressure die casting facility from Metal Technologies of Indiana. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Located in Jackson, Tenn., the acquisition of JDC adds a strategic location the Pace's footprint across the United States and Mexico. The facility offers core competencies in aluminum die cast and trim operations, machining, and assembly that align with and expand Pace's portfolio

"Pace Industries continually evaluates strategic opportunities in the marketplace to complement and strengthen our portfolio," says Vince Marino, CSO of Pace Industries. "With its experience, capabilities and regional reach, Jackson Die Cast is an ideal addition to the Pace family."

The 140,000-square-foot facility in Tennessee employs more than 100 people. The addition brings Pace to a total of 18 manufacturing facilities and nearly 4,000 employees within North America. Pace — which provides its services to the automotive, commercial vehicle, powersports, lighting, lawn and garden, appliance, aerospace, defense, medical, and other industries — plans to grow the facility.

"Our vision is to become the premier die casting manufacturing and engineering solutions supplier serving customers within multiple sectors worldwide. This acquisition marks yet another exciting step in our journey to excellence," says Donald Hampton Jr., CEO of Pace.

"We have great admiration for both the city of Jackson and the state of Tennessee. It is an honor to become part of this growing, diverse community. We are delighted to have the experienced workforce of JDC join the Pace team."

Metal Technologies of Indiana is a metal casting and precision machining company based in Auburn, Ind. The company operates five iron foundries and two machining facilities with a capacity of 340,000 tons of iron castings yearly.
