O'Reilly Auto Parts jingle marks 25 years with contest

It's hard to hear "Oh, Oh, Oh, O'Reilly..." on the radio without finishing the long-standing jingle.

O'Reilly Auto Parts, headquartered in Springfield, is celebrating the 25th anniversary of its popular jingle with a contest that will award more than $40,000 to creative participants. The contest is broken up into three categories, giving participants the opportunity to dance, remix or cover the full jingle: "Oh, Oh, Oh, O'Reilly ... Auto Parts... Ow!"

The O'Reilly Auto Parts jingle contest offers three categories:

Contestants, who must be at least 18 years old, may enter one video in each of the three categories. For the Club/EDM Remix and Cover categories, contestants must include "O'Reilly Auto Parts" and "Ow!"

To enter, contestants must complete an entry form on the O'Reilly Jingle Contest website at oreillyjinglecontest.com. The form asks contestants for their email, date of birth, first and last name, ZIP code and phone number. This form is also how contestants upload their videos, which can be up to 60 seconds long.

The O'Reilly Auto Parts jingle contest opened Oct. 1 and closes Oct. 31.

Entry is free.

Once the contest entry form has closed, a voting period will be held Nov. 1-15. Folks will have the chance to cast one vote per category on the O'Reilly Auto Parts jingle contest website. In the event of a tie, a panel of judges will choose winners based on reflection of theme, creativity and originality, user votes from the voting period, and quality of entry.

Winners will be notified within 15 days of the voting period's closure.
